ATA Inc. (NASDAQ: ATAI) has filed an amended registration statement with the SEC for an initial public offering of its common stock. The Company is offering 9,748,024 shares and expects the offering price to be between $9.50-$11.50 per share. The Company plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol "ATAI".

The offering is being made through Merrill Lynch, Piper Jaffray and Susquehanna Financial Group.

ATA is a leading provider of computer-based testing services in China, with the largest market share, 30.9%, in terms of revenue in 2006, according to IDC. ATA also provides career-oriented, test-based educational programs and test preparation solutions in China.
